Submit a Letter

Recognitions are announced by the individual school sites in late April.  Site principals decide exactly when and how the announcement is made.

Parents and students are invited to recognize a teacher or school-site staff member (like a bus driver, cafeteria, front office, nurse, assistant, etc.) from the current school year who has made a difference by going above and beyond for the students of PVSchools.  Please submit a letter of recognition and tell us why that person has earned your appreciation.  To help publicize these annual recognitions among individuals at your school, please consider distributing the poster about the program (all forms are in PDF format).  For a Spanish version click here. Please Review These Rules:

• PVSchools employees cannot recognize fellow PVSchools employees (unless you are a PVSchools employee AND a PVSchools parent and wish to nominate your child's teacher/staff) (there are recognition programs through PVEA and PVSEA that allow employees to recognize other employees).
• Principals and administrators are not eligible to receive this recognition. (They have chosen to exempt themselves to keep the focus on the teachers and staff.)
• This program is an opportunity specifically for parents and students to express appreciation for teachers/staff at their school site.
• Recognitions are limited to teachers and staff at your school site this current year only.
• If submitting online, please review your selections before submitting to ensure you have selected the correct school.  Corrections will not be made.
• A message will appear that your recognition letter has been submitted; we cannot respond to individual inquiries due to the large number of recognitions received.
• A submission does not guarantee receipt of this recognition.  Administrative approval is required; the selection process is confidential.
• Recipients will be announced by the individual school sites usually in late April.  Site principals decide exactly when and how the announcement is made.

During the submission period, you can print this Recognition Form and submit your completed form to UPC through your school's interoffice mail.

Tip: You are asked to provide a 50 word description about why this person deserves recognition.  If your student is filling out the form, feel free to add your own thanks to fulfill the minimum requirement.  (Longer, more specific information about what stands out about this particular bus driver, or aide, or teacher really helps to personalize your submission.)
