Arizona Quest for Kids

Arizona Quest for Kids provides financial and mentoring support
for college graduation to youth with academic potential
from economically disadvantaged families.

Dear United Parent Council Member:

The Arizona Quest for Kids program is currently offered in the Paradise Valley Unified School District at Indian Bend and Palomino II elementary schools. I am presenting this program to you in the hope that a couple of things might happen.

First of all, it is possible that some of you might be interested in the Mentor Program. If so, then please call or e-mail me, and I will be sure that you are contacted with the times and dates of our mentor information meetings. At that time you can explore the program a little more before making a commitment.

Secondly, you may know other people for whom mentoring might be of interest and/or you might be a part of some other group (i.e. a church, a place of business or a civic group) that might be interested in a presentation regarding the Arizona Quest for Kids mentoring program.

My goal over the next few years is to find as my committed mentors as possible so that as many of our students as possible can take advantage of this program. Based on our “Free and Reduced Lunch” population, we could place as many as thirty fifth graders into this program every year. It doesn’t take much vision to begin to see the tremendous impact that would have on our community.

Please feel free to call (602) 866-0671 or email me at jill@homepointmortgage.net if you have any questions. Thank you for your continuing support of the students of the Paradise Valley Unified School District.

Sincerely,
Jill Hoogendyk
Mentor Coordinator for Indian Bend and
Palomino II Elementary Schools
